What about the driver with no insurance who caused the accident? There was no recovery against him personally (people who don\u2019t have car insurance usually don\u2019t have any money anyway).<\/p>\n
But SL was smart. She had uninsured motorist coverage on her own car insurance policy, and that insurance coverage stepped in to pay the damages that the reckless driver with no insurance caused.<\/p>\n
Remember, if you get hurt at work or on the job, and some other person or company causes the injury or accident, you can pursue both workers\u2019 compensation benefits and a case against the other driver.
