For over 20 years, Aja\u2019s life revolved around caring for others. She worked in healthcare her entire career, starting as an EMT before transitioning into nursing. She went above and beyond caring for patients who could not care for themselves, always picked up double shifts, stayed careful with her body, and took pride in her work. She had never been injured on the job.<\/p>\n
Then everything changed.<\/p>\n
Aja\u2019s injury happened in 2023. Suddenly, she was unable to work. Her knee was not healing, and workers\u2019 compensation stopped moving forward. Medical treatment stalled. She had not seen an Orthopedic doctor or attended physical therapy in some time, and the pain came back. Money became a major concern, and the stress began to pile up.<\/p>\n
